Nollen Group worked with local partners in western Cambodia to develop, structure and finance the Southern Coastal Cardamoms Conservation (SCCC) project. The SCCC team implemented alternative rural livelihoods, indigenous reforestation and avoided deforestation programs throughout the region. The project was geared towards the two-fold goal of lifting families out of poverty while protecting and restoring native forest land.
In providing the partner communities with new economic opportunities as an alternative to unsustainable resource extraction, the project members created an environment ripe for economic growth without further ecosystem degradation in western Cambodia. Our holistic environmental markets approach included investor-backed financing in eco-tourism, reforestation carbon credits and local services production.
