Nollen Group signed a contract in May 2012 to supply a major multinational food group with a duel-fuel boiler on a turnkey basis to produce process steam in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. The boiler will use sustainable woodchips as fuel, also supplied by Nollen Group under a long-term Feedstock Supply Contract, with coal used only as a back-up.
The Project will switch the fuel source for all of the facility’s entire process steam requirements from coal to a renewable source, thereby reducing greenhouse gas emissions and re-enforcing the client’s ongoing commitments on improving its environmental footprint.
