W2E Siang Phong Ltd is a 1.0MWe biogas project in the Kampong Cham province of Cambodia. The project uses wastewater from a cassava mill to generate electricity that is sold back to the mill, providing it with reliable electricity, allowing further expansion that was previously held back due to uncertainties with energy supplies.
The project replaces the open lagoon wastewater treatment system that had previously generated a significant amount of pungent methane gas into the atmosphere, contributing to carbon emissions as well as being unpleasant to local communities.
Nollen Group is a minority investor in W2E Siang Phong.
